Students in the Home Health Assistant program are prepared to perform health promotion and care activities in the home. They will be prepared for personal care procedures, application of infection control principles, and assistance to the elderly, among other activities. Upon completion of the program, they will receive a diploma and will be able to work as a Home Health Aide as soon as they graduate.
Upon completion of the program, graduates will qualify for employment as Home Health Aides, working for Home Health Care Agencies approved for Medicare, Medicaid, or other health insurance coverage.
