Services
Our Services
At La Esperanza, we offer you an education and a pathway to a rewarding career in the healthcare field. Our mission is to provide our diverse community with quality instruction in high-demand programs and to continue offering continuing education to healthcare providers.
Academic Advising
Academic advising is available from campus administrators and faculty members as needed throughout the program of study. Students with personal problems that need resolution will be directed to appropriate local community agencies.
Financial Counseling
Appointments should be made with the Office of Administration to resolve financial problems, discuss financial options or payment plans for all active students.
Job Placement Services
Assistance will be provided to students with job placement. La Esperanza does not guarantee employment. Completing a course or program in a language other than English may reduce the possibility of jobs requiring English. Address lists of potential employers will be provided to students upon graduation. Any inquiries received from prospective employers will be posted on the bulletin board. There is no charge for these services.
Registration
It is open at all times to all interested applicants (students) (admitted). Registration must be in person. (Students may register only in person.)
Other services
Student Records
- They will be kept permanently on campus in a secure location. Records of academic progress are given to students periodically. A transcript is provided to each student upon graduation. Additional transcripts will be available to students upon written request and payment of a ten-dollar ($10.00) fee. A student may request that his or her transcript be sent to a prospective employer. Such a request must be made in writing. La Esperanza complies with the confidentiality and student accessibility provisions of the Family Rights Act of 1974, commonly known as the Buckley Amendment. Information about a student is only available to people with a written request/release from the student, a court order, or as a requirement of an accrediting agency. In the case of a minor student, parents or legal guardians have the right to inspect the information contained in that student's record.
Library Services
- La Esperanza provides learning resources in addition to the textbooks used in the programs. Students may access this service by prior request to the staff in charge of the campus library for use on school premises. If a student needs to hold a book or book for longer than allowed, the student must request this extension in writing to ensure that the book or books are available to other students. Failure to return the book(s) by the due date will be considered a breach of the standards of conduct established by La Esperanza, and the student will be subject to disciplinary action. La Esperanza subscribes to LIRN and provides this excellent learning resource to all active students.
Continuing Education Services
- La Esperanza Educational Services offers courses and training for Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Home Health Aides, Basic X-ray machine Operators, Radiology Technicians, Massage Therapists, and other health care professionals. La Esperanza regularly reports the credits earned by healthcare professionals to the Continuing Education Agent's office to facilitate the renewal of their licenses. These continuing education credits are not licensed by the Commission on Independent Education.
